01 · Overview

KrishiMitra is a mobile agriculture app concept designed around accessible, practical, and localized information for Nepali farmers. The proposed experience brings key farming tools together, including crop issue guidance, expert consultation, weather information, crop tracking, and market prices.

02 · Problem

Farmers may need access to many different types of information, but presenting everything at once can create cognitive overload. The challenge was designing a digital product that could provide several complex agricultural services without making the interface confusing — while keeping it usable for people with limited technical experience and making it feel genuinely useful to local, Nepali-speaking farmers.

03 · Concept

The visual design focuses on creating a trustworthy, simple, and agriculture-focused experience. A natural green color palette represents farming and growth, while soft backgrounds, rounded cards, clear icons, and large typography make the application comfortable to use on mobile devices. The dashboard prioritizes information farmers may need frequently, such as crop health, weather conditions, farming recommendations, and market prices.

04 · Design Process

The solution was to organize information into simple cards, clear categories, visual indicators, and task-focused screens. For example, the disease detection flow allows a farmer to capture or upload a crop image and immediately see that the image is being analyzed. Similarly, weather and market information are presented using visual cards so users can understand important information quickly. Another important learning was the importance of localization. Using Nepali language, familiar terminology, agricultural imagery, and locally relevant information helps make the product feel more useful and trustworthy for its target users. 05 · Final Design

A card-based interface that keeps key farming tools reachable in one place:

• AI Crop Disease Detection — upload a photo of a crop or leaf to identify possible diseases and receive useful recommendations.
• Agricultural Expert Consultation — connect with specialists, view profiles and ratings, and call or chat for professional guidance.
• Smart Farming Assistant — an interactive chatbot for quick answers to common farming and crop questions.
• Weather Information — current conditions and forecasts to support better farming decisions.
• Crop Management — add and monitor crops, track progress, and receive relevant suggestions.
• Market Prices — current prices for vegetables, fruits, and grains to support better selling decisions.

The case study focuses on the interface design and information hierarchy for these proposed tools. It does not claim a live product, data integration, or measured business results.

06 · Outcome
